What's the difference between a crown and a bridge?

Crowns and bridges Edina MNA crown is a “cap” on a single tooth.  This covers the tooth that is above the gumline.  A bridge consists of two crowns on two teeth adjacent to a space.  These two crowns are then connected in the middle by one fake tooth.  A crown and a bridge are both cemented onto the natural tooth and are not removable. If you have questions about crowns or bridges contact our Edina MN office today by calling (952) 922-5561.
